Die Sakralisierungsstrategien in der ‚Kronike von Pruzinlant‘

Der Beitrag analysiert das Raumbewusstsein, das in Nikolaus’ von Jeroschin „Kronike von Pruzinlant“ erkennbar wird, sowie die spezifische Verfasstheit von Räumen im Text und geht der Frage nach, welchen Einfluss das Thema ‚Krieg‘ auf deren Darstellung hatte. Es soll gezeigt werden, dass die erzähltechnische Perspektivierung und Sakralisierung des literarisierten Raums ‚Preußen‘ darauf abzielt, das realhistorische Gebiet ‚Preußen‘ als Amalgam aus Kriegs- und Heiligem Land identifizierbar werden zu lassen.

This article analyses the spatial awareness which is evident in Nikolaus von Jeroschin’s “Kronike von Pruzinlant” (‘The Chronicle of Prussia’) together with the specific constitution of spaces in the text, as well as exploring the question of what impact the topic “war” had on their representation. It will be shown that the narrative perspectivisation and sacralisation of the literarised space of Prussia aims to make the real historical area of Prussia identifiable as an amalgam of a land of war and a Holy Land.
