Der „Lucidarius“ als Quelle Wolframs

Der "Lucidarius" wird bisher zumeist nur mit Vorsicht als mögliche Quelle Wolframs in Betracht gezogen. Der vorliegende Beitrag will zeigen, dass Wolfram den Text (vor allem Buch I) tatsächlich gekannt und mit Gewinn benutzt hat. Dies gilt besonders für den Bereich der ‚Wunder des Ostens' und der Astronomie/Astrologie. Da die Probleme der Textgeschichte des "Lucidarius" z.Zt. lebhaft diskutiert werden, wird abschließend geprüft, wie und in welcher Form Wolfram das Werk kennenlernen konnte.

Scholars have generally been cautious about recognising the "Lucidarius" as a possible source for Wolfram. This article seeks to show that Wolfram knew and made use of the text (especially Book I). This is particularly true for the area of the 'wonders of the East' and astronomy/astrology. As the problems of the textual history of the "Lucidarius" are the subjects of a lively debate at present, the final part of the article examines how and in what form Wolfram could have got to know the work.
