Entwicklung des PETRecyclings in Deutschland

Die Entwicklung des PET-Recyclings hat in Deutschland im Vergleich zu den anderen europäischen Nachbarländern spät begonnen. Die geplante Einführung einer Kunststoffflasche für Erfrischungsgetränke war der Anstoß, die Verpackungsverordnung zu verabschieden. Dies führte mittelbar zu einem Pfand auf Einwegflaschen. Mit der Umsetzung der Pfandpflicht ist der Aufbau von Verwertungskapazitäten beschleunigt worden. Heute besitzt Deutschland die meisten Kapazitäten zur Verwertung von PET-Flaschenabfällen in Europa.

The development of the PET recycling in Germany started late compared to the other European neighboring countries. The planned introduction of a plastic bottle for a soft drink was the impulse to approve the regulation on packaging. This led indirectly to a deposit on one-way bottles. With the realization of the deposit obligation the development of recycling capacities was accelerated. Today, Germany is in possession of the most capacities for the recycling of PET bottle waste in Europe.
